The Japan Federation of Bar Associations (JFBA), the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), and the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Japan publicized its “Joint Message to Aim for the Abolishment of the Death Penalty in All Countries and Regions of the World” on March 13, 2021, on the occasion of “the International Symposium: Prospect of the Future of Criminal Justice - Can criminal justice systems coexist with death penalty and attacks on lawyers?
