The 101st Seminar on International Human Rights: Business and Human Rights in Conflict - Case studies of Russian invasion of Ukraine and corporate responses

Armed conflicts such as the coup in Myanmar in 2021, the war in Ukraine since 2022, and Israel's invasion of Gaza have a big impact on business activities. Additionally, companies operating in conflict including those operating in Myanmar, Russia, and Israel, are confronting the decision of whether to stay or leave the country or whether to refrain from providing goods and services.

In this seminar, we will learn how to analyze business and human rights in armed conflicts from the perspective of international human rights law and learn about the changes in the business environment for multinational corporations in Russia after the Ukraine war.

Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation will be provided using Zoom live translation software.
