About this Grand Design
On July 18, 2019, the Japan Federation of Bar Associations (JFBA) established a “Grand Design of International Strategy” (hereinafter referred to as the “Grand Design”).
Towards the realization of the fundamental purposes set out in the “Mission Statement on International Affairs” which we established in February 2016, the objectives of this Grand Design are to clearly outline our current activities, identify the issues we are currently handling and future issues to be handled and show them to both inside and outside of the JFBA, and thereby promote our approaches to realize the fundamental purposes in the Mission Statement.
The items provided in the “Declaration to further promote the expansion of legal services required by globalization and internationalization of society and the improvement of access to these services” which we adopted in June 2019 are also embodied further in this Grand Design.
The JFBA plans to review this Grand Design in accordance with the anticipated further development of globalization and internationalization.
